Instant Pot Steamed Clams
2-3 lbs of wild caught, sustainably sourced clams
1/2 cup filtered water
1/2 cup white wine
2 tsp Trader Joe's onion salt
1/2 tsp Himalayan or Celtic sea salt
3 tablespoons of chopped fresh parsley (1 for cooking, 2 for serving)
2-3 garlic cloves, chopped
Grass-fed butter, melted (to serve)
Fresh lemon juice (to serve)
Pour water and white wine into instant pot with onion salt, salt, 1 tbsp parsley and garlic cloves.
Put the steamer tray inside and then pour clams on top.
Set instant pot to manual, high pressure, for 3 minutes. You can allow vent to naturally release pressure or manually release it yourself (with caution).
Serve with melted butter and fresh squeezed lemon (to dip or pour all on top!)
If you do not have white wine in the home, just use 1 full cup of filtered water and add 3 tbsp. of lemon juice for acidity into instant pot for cooking.
Make this into a full meal by adding clams on top of organic brown rice, lentil, quinoa or organic einkorn flour spaghetti with extra virgin olive oil and sauteed garlic.
